I am a gastroenterologist in Baton Rouge, LA. I am one of the founding Directors of Ekam USA. I was inspired by the need in India for mother and child health care, due to my background of training in public hospitals and growing up in rural areas of India. After seeing the lives of mothers at risk first hand, Ekam USA was formed by a group of like-minded individuals who want to bring sustainable change in healthcare.
We are proud to be able to send almost 100% of your donation towards the projects done by Ekam, with minimal admin cost (about 1-3%), thanks to countless hours spent by the dedicated volunteers that work for Ekam. Our Chapter Directors are men and women from all walks of life, who have joined our efforts to help those in need, while engaging youth in service activities and connecting donors with the cause. Our youth ambassadors spend time and come up with creative ideas for service and fundraising, continuously inspiring the rest of us.
All the lives saved in India, disease prevented, communities empowered, covid recovery, relief and rehabilitation work now in progress is with the support of our donors. We strive to uphold the trust placed in us by our donors to ensure that 100% of their donation reaches the beneficiaries.
